“Do you mean that you need post content shortcode like excerpt shortcode”

Well, this would be needed for everyone using Woocommerce products instead of posts. The excerpt metabox holds different content then the_content.

Having the_content shortcode and maybe the ability to limit characters to fetch would be awesome and really needed in my opinion.
