Default template for “buy now” option

Seems like when a product is set to “enable template selection”, it is not possible to be added to the cart if none is selected. “Field Choose a theme: is required”. Would be nice if it didnt stop the customer from adding it directly to the cart, by instead defaulting to the theme in the options or something, if none is specified at the add-to-cart hook.
